The city of Florence on the Arno River in the Tuscany region of Italy has for 2000 years been known for its famous artists: Dante, Michelangelo and Leonardo da Vinci. However, the works of these great artists were long ago damaged or forgotten.

Not too long ago, an art historian, Roberto Manescalchi, uncovered a hidden staircase and doorway in the Santissima Annunziata Monastery in the city of Florence. Manescalchi discovered the stairway led to rooms in the adjoining Italian Institute of Military Geography.

The walls in these rooms were covered in well-preserved frescoes that had been hidden for centuries. Imagine Manescalchi’s astonishment when he came to realize da Vinci himself had done the frescoes on these walls!

The newly discovered rooms also shed light on the mystery that ties Leonardo da Vinci to his muse, Mona Lisa Gherardini, wife of a Florentine merchant. Some historians believe the creation of his most famous painting, the Mona Lisa, coincides with the time da Vinci lived in the rooms. The hypothesis is da Vinci may have met the merchant’s wife in the church of the Santissima Annuziata where the family had a chapel. The rest is art history.

Since I was a child, I have been inspired by the scope of da Vinci’s genius. We all know he was not only a great artist but was also a great scientist, inventor, architect, and engineer. Leonardo indeed defined the term “Renaissance Man.” He could have focused all his energy on one particular field of endeavor and done nothing else. Instead, he chose to live his life exploring new vistas.

I believe we will succeed as entrepreneurs by following da Vinci’s lead. Have you noticed advertisements in the
American Cash Flow Journal ® for Wizetrade TM and the Robert Allen Institute? Have you ever wondered how you could possibly operate as a “ma and pa” business while expanding from cash flow to equity investing and then onto real estate investing? Perhaps you are inclined to believe such a vision for your business would only result in your “spreading yourself too thin” to be successful in anything.

Let me assure you, there is a way to succeed in the cash flow industry, stock market investing, and real estate investing, and it’s simpler than you think. Leonardo would have done it this way, and so can we.
